Glimpses of Bhutan 3 Nights 4 days

Day 1: Fly to Paro on Druck-Air.
You will be met at the airport and transferred to Thimpu (65 kms./2 hrs. Approx.). Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing tour of Thimpu:
AM-visit Zeleukha Nunnery, National Library and Memorial Chorten of His Late Majesty Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk. PM-Stroll down town to the Handicraft Development Corporation which displays a variety of Bhutanese handicrafts.

Day 3: Thimpu-Paro (65 kms. / 2hrs.)
AM-After breakfast drive leisurely to Paro.
PM- Drive through the Paro Valley to see the Drukgyel Dzong Kyichu Lhakhang. On a clear day, one can see the Majeatic Jhomolhari Mountain (better known as The Mountain of the Goddess) (7314m.) Also visit the National Museum Located in the Ta Dzong which displays a rich collection of the fine arts and weapons.

Day 4:Transfer to Airport for final departure. Kathmandu/ Delhi/Bangkok onward.

 
 

Mystic Bhutan 4 Nights 5 days

Day 01: Arrive Paro:
Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will be received by our representatives. Transfer  to hotel, Lunch at the hotel. During the journey, one will experience breath taking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other famous Himalayan peaks, including the sacred Mount Jhomolhari & Jichu. After lunch visit the National Museum ( Ta-Dzong ). This was originally the Watch Tower of the Paro Rinpung Dzong. It was converted into the National Museum in 1968. It is located on top of a hill above the Paro Dzong overlooking Paro valley and river. On the way back from the Museum, take a leisurely stroll in the Paro market and along the beautiful Paro river.

Day 02: Paro - Thimphu :
Drive  to Thimphu through the winding road along the Paro and Thimphu river. Check in at the hotel. After tea at the hotel, take a leisurely stroll in the Thimphu town. Visit the Rinpung Dzong. This massive fortress is located in the Paro valley and is approached by a gently sloping flagstone road and a beautiful wooden bridge. From here, the peaks of Mount Jhomolhari (7329m) gMountain of Goddessh can be seen on a clear day. The central tower (Utse) of the fortress is one of the most beautiful in Bhutan with its superb woodwork. 

Day 03: Thimphu - Thimphu:
 Visit the Memorial Chorten   built in memory of the third King of Bhutan who reigned the country from 1952-1972. Visit the Painting and Wood Craft school where traditional art and craft is still kept alive. Visit the National Library where ancient manuscripts are preserved. Visit the Handicrafts Emporium where Bhutanese textiles and other arts and crafts are displayed and can be purchased. Lunch at the hotel. Simtokha Dzong is one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan.Tashichho Dzong is the main secretariat building.   

Day 04: Thimphu - Paro:
An early breakfast, drive up to Dochula pass. From here, you can enjoy the most spectacular view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. Tea/coffee at Dochula and return to Thimphu. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon: Drive to Paro. Check in at the hotel. After Tea/coffee, Drive up to Satsam Chorten (10 Kms. from Paro town). From there, you can view the picturesque Taktsang Monastery gTigers Nest gperched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 800 ft.

Day 05: Drive to  Airport.
Transfer to Airport for final departure. Kathmandu/ Delhi/Bangkok onward.
