Itinerary:
Day 01: Kathmandu: arrival at Kathmandu airport, meeting and assistance by
our representative and transfer to Hotel.
Overnight at hotel on B/B Plan rest of the day free for leisure. O/N Dinner in Typical Nepalese Restaurant.
Day 02: After breakfast, Full-day Kathmandu city sightseeing tour of
Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath stupa, and Syambhunath stupa, Kathmandu durbar square, BudhanilKanta and patan Durbar square, Over night at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Paro Fly to Paro on Druck-Air. You will be met at the
airport and transferred to Thimpu (65 kms./2 hrs. Approx.). Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Full day sightseeing tour of Thimpu: AM-visit Zeleukha Nunnery,
National Library and Memorial Chorten of His Late Majesty
Jigme Dorjee Wangchuk. PM-Stroll down town to the Handicraft Development Corporation, which displays a variety of Bhutanese handicrafts.
Day 05: Thimpu-Paro (65 kms. / 2hrs.) AM-After Breakfast drive leisurely to
Paro. PM- Drive through the Paro Valley to see
The Drukgyel Dzong Kyichu Lhakhang. On a clear day, one can see the Majeatic Jhomolhari Mountain (better known as The Mountain of the Goddess) (7314m.) Also, visit the National Museum Located in the Ta Dzong that displays a rich collection of the fine arts and weapons. Over Night at hotel
Day 06: Visit to tiger nest then free leisure day own-self. Over Night at at hotel
Day 07: Fly back to Kathmandu Rest of day free leisure, Overnight at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 08: We would prefer day hikes around Kathmandu. After breakfast drive to Changu Narayan temple and Hike to Nagarkot 3 hrs.
Over Night at Nagarkot.
Day 09: After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur. Rest of day free leisure, Over night at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 10: Day hike around Katmandu Shivapuri Hike. After breakfast drive to budhanilkhanda and walk around4/5 hrs with pack lunch.
Overnight at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 11:Kathmandu- Lhasa: Fly to Lhasa airport and transfer 95 km to the hotel. It takes 2 hours on the way to Lhasa through the
Yerlung Tsangpo and the Lhasa Kyichu River. Overnight at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 12: Morning visit Potala palace, the seat of both religion and politics in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by
Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalailama in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometer north of Lhasa city, It was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choeji, a disciple of Tsongkhapa,the founder of the Gelugpa sect. Sera is one of the three major monasteries of yellow sect in Tibet. Overnight at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 13: Morning visit Drepung monastery, which is the largest Monastery of the Gelugpa sect in Lhasa ,
That was built in 1416 by Jamyang chojie a disciple of Tsongkhapa. Afternoon visit JokhangTempal and Barkhor market, this is the holiest shrine in Tibet and houses of golden statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha, which was brought to Tibet by the Chinese princess Wenchen. Overnight at Hotel on B.B. basis.
Day 14: Transfer to airport for departure.
