Located in northern Pakistan, on the border with both China and India, the
Karakoram is a vast and complex mountain range which includes the greatest
concentration of big peaks in the world. KE pioneered treks to the Karakoram in
the early 1980's and established many super routes amongst the spectacular high
valleys and glaciers of this unspoilt mountain group. The classic approach to K2
and Concordia, the challenging trek to K2 by way of the Gondoro La and the
magnificent crossing of Snow Lake and the Hispar La are absolute classics of
world trekking. This rugged and endearing part of the world was the place where
KE began and has always held a special importance for us.
K-2 Trekking Pakistan This is the most spectacular trek in the world. It also passes through the greatest concentration of highest peaks on the earth. The zenith of this trek is the union of the Godwin Austen and Baltoro Glacier at fantastic setting called 'Concodia' was first explored by Martin Conway of France in 1892 A.D. This immense sea of ice covered in stones was thus named after the Place-De-La Concorde in Paris. Ten of the thirty highest mountains of the world are located here. All along the trek are rows of needle spires, granite towers, shinning glaciated mountains and snowy domes lines providing the greatest mountain.
