Overnight stay at the hotel.
Your second day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before boarding a vehicle for a scenic journey west from Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway, following the Trishuli River basin.
After approximately 100 kilometers, we reach Mugling, where the Trishuli and Marsyangdi Rivers converge. Continuing for another 28 kilometers to Dumre, we then take a rugged dirt road for 65 kilometers until we arrive at Chamje, a small village in the Manang district beside the roaring Marsyangdi River, and a popular starting point for the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
The trekking journey begins in Chamje, starting with a hearty breakfast at the teahouse before we set off on our adventure. The trek kicks off with an exhilarating crossing of the Marsyangdi River via a suspension bridge, adding to the excitement. About an hour in, we arrive at Tal village, where the scenic trail offers stunning views of turquoise waters, mani walls with sacred inscriptions, and charming horses and mules. The terrain is mostly gentle, with occasional inclines, and winds through delightful villages alongside the river. By evening, we’ll reach Dharapani, a significant hub for both the Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit Treks, where we will rest for the night.
On our fourth day of trekking, we enjoy a delightful riverside stroll through Dharapani before reaching a crossroad that leads us north toward Himlung Himal Base Camp. Continuing alongside the Marsyangdi River, we trek to the picturesque village of Koto, near Manang district headquarters. This segment takes about 6-7 hours, starting on a smooth unpaved road until Bagarchhap, then sharply ascending through rocky hills and narrow river corridors. We cross several suspension bridges and take breaks in scenic villages like Lata Marang and Danagyu before arriving in Koto, where the Marsyangdi River meets Nar Khola. We settle into a cozy teahouse for a well-deserved night’s rest.
Today’s trek takes us into the serene Nar River Basin, beginning with a crossing of the suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi River. After an hour, we reach the Nar Phu Khola campsite at 2900 meters and ascend through stunning landscapes, crossing the Nar River multiple times while enjoying views of the majestic Kangaru Himal. We pause at Singenge Dharmshala, the second-to-last stop before Meta, before tackling a steep climb to Methang, where we experience the charm of a Himalayan village. As the trek concludes, we relax for the night in a teahouse surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery.
The trek from Methang to Kyang follows a scenic path through the Himalayan River basin. After an hour, we reach Nar Phedi at the confluence of the Labse and Phu Khola rivers, then continue along the Phu River to Junam Goth. Ascending through Lowe Chyako and Upper Chyako, we enjoy breathtaking views before arriving at Kyang, a tranquil stop on flat farmland by the river. From here, the majestic Chulu Mountains—Chulu East, West, and Central—provide a stunning backdrop.
Today’s trail involves gentle ascents alongside the Phu River, within the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) surrounding Phu village and the Manang region. Hikers often spot Blue Sheep during this stretch, but the route from Kyang to Phu can be challenging due to rocky terrain and landslide-prone areas after crossing Kyang. After approximately five hours of trekking, we reach Phu village, where we settle in for the night.
Phu Village is unique, set against the stunning backdrop of Kangla Himal (5329m) and characterized by its rustic charm, featuring stacked mud houses. The village is surrounded by lush pasturelands along the Phu River and serves as the gateway to Himlung Base Camp, while the nearby Kyauchyu Waterfall sparkles in the sunlight. Visitors can explore two prominent Buddhist monasteries—Thashi Gompa on the northern bank and Samdu Choling on the western edge—amidst ancient chortens and colorful prayer flags, adding to the spiritual ambiance. During your stay, consider visiting a typical local house to learn about the settlement patterns, and use your rest day to hike to a nearby hill station for breathtaking views of the Annapurna massifs and Lamjung Himal.
Leaving Phu village, the trail ascends through small hamlets on the opposite side of the river, where you’ll encounter modern amenities such as hospitals, call centers, and post offices. Our journey begins with a climb towards Phu Pass, which we reach after approximately three hours at an elevation of 5050 meters, followed by a steep descent. After two hours of descending from Phu Pass, we arrive at Check, located along the banks of the Loha River, where we settle down for the night in a teahouse.
The Loha River acts as a central gorge between Nar Pass and Phu Pass, guiding our ascent toward Nar Pass from Check, which takes about three hours to reach its summit. The view from Nar Pass is breathtaking, with the shimmering Annapurna Mountains encircling us. As we descend, we traverse snow domes and glacial moraines, leading us to the base of the pass where we encounter the Labse River. After continuing our journey for an additional two hours, we arrive at the bustling village of Na, known for its dense population.
Today’s trek navigates the base of Kangla Himal, following streams from Kangla Peak and ascending over 1000 meters to Kangla Pass, where we may spot the rare snow leopard at Kangla Phedi. The pass offers stunning views of Chulu and Annapurna, along with a seasonal teahouse. Our descent down the dry Yak’s Row trail, which lacks teahouses, lasts 3-4 hours until we reach Manang village for the night, necessitating packed lunches.
Manang village, home to the devoutly Tibetan Buddhist Managi people, beautifully balances traditional charm with modern amenities in a stunning valley beneath the Himalayas. As an acclimatization day, it offers various activities, such as visiting the captivating turquoise waters of Gangapurna Lake or hiking to the famous cave that shelters 100 monks for blessings. Nearby, the village of Brabal features several Buddhist monasteries where you can engage in prayer ceremonies. We will spend the night in Manang village.

Your trek from Yak Kharka to High Camp will be an exhilarating experience. Starting early gives you the advantage of crisp morning air and beautiful views as you follow the Kone Khola river—just be cautious of potential landslides and falling stones. The trail offers tranquility and stunning vistas of the Annapurna massif, culminating in a thrilling suspension bridge crossing and a steep ascent. Recharge with a warm lunch at Thorung Phedi before approaching High Camp, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking mountain views. Deciding to stay at High Camp for the scenery or returning to Thorung Phedi for comfort is an important choice.
As you leave Yak Kharka, expect a slower pace due to high altitude and thin air, with snow likely along the trail in winter, transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland. Heed your guide’s instructions to navigate safely and be aware of altitude sickness; prioritize your well-being while enjoying the stunning scenery. The highlight is ascending Thorung-La Pass at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet), the highest pass in the world, adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags. The descent is adventurous, leading to small tea houses after three hours for a well-deserved lunch before continuing to Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists, all while relishing the majestic mountain views and the thrill of the journey.
Muktinath, or Muktinath Dham, sits at 3,800 meters, showcasing a blend of Hindu and Buddhist faiths with its Pagoda-style temple, a revered Shaligram, and the eternal flame of Jwaladevi, attracting many pilgrims seeking purification at the 108 bull-head water sprouts. As you head north, the majestic Dhaulagiri (8163m) towers overhead, its snowy peaks contrasting with the arid Mustang landscape. After about three hours, you’ll reach Ekle Bhatti along the Kaligandaki River, known for its sacred Saligrams. Continuing on, a two-hour trek leads you to Jomsom, the vibrant commercial center of the Mustang district, where you can find modern amenities and explore a lively marketplace. This trek beautifully intertwines spirituality, breathtaking scenery, and rich cultural diversity.
Your adventure in Pokhara begins with a scenic 15-minute flight from Jomsom to Pokhara airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel for check-in. After freshening up, a dedicated vehicle awaits to take you on a sightseeing tour of key landmarks, starting with the ancient Bindhyabasini Temple, then the captivating Devis Falls, and the intriguing Gupteshwor Cave filled with unique rock formations. Ascend to the serene World Peace Pagoda for breathtaking views of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. Conclude your day with a relaxing boating session on Phewa Lake, framed by the majestic Annapurna mountain range, leaving you free to explore the lakeside at your own pace.
We provide luxury tourist buses for travel between Pokhara and Kathmandu, taking about 6 to 7 hours on the scenic Prithvi Highway, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Trishuli River basin and pass through the picturesque hilly terrains of Dhading and Chitwan districts before reaching Kathmandu in the evening.
Alternatively, you can opt for a quicker 20-minute flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, followed by a car transfer to your hotel upon arrival (on extra charge). Choose the option that best fits your preferences and schedule, and enjoy your stay in Kathmandu!
Enjoy a free day in Kathmandu, ideal for shopping and relaxation. Take this chance to explore local markets and shops for unique souvenirs and gifts. In the evening, immerse yourself in Nepalese culture with a special dinner at a traditional restaurant. We will spend the night at the Hotel KTM, ensuring a comfortable and restful experience.

To minimize the risk of altitude sickness, it’s crucial to acclimatize properly. Follow your guide’s recommendations to take rest days, ascend gradually, and stay hydrated. Consider purchasing a local SIM card for better coverage during your trek, especially if you need to stay connected for emergency purposes.
