  • Beverages: Any beverages, including bottled and boiled water, are not included and will be an additional expense during the trek and your stay in Kathmandu.
  • Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance, including high-altitude emergency evacuation coverage, is required but not included in the package.
  • Tips: Gratuities for trekking staff and drivers are not included, and guests are encouraged to tip based on their level of satisfaction.
  • Nepal Entry Visa: The visa fee for entering Nepal is not included (USD 50 for a 30-day visa and USD 125 for a 90-day visa), and it can be easily acquired upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
  • Personal Trekking Gear: Any personal trekking gear and equipment, such as sleeping bags, walking poles, and specialized clothing, are not included and should be arranged by trekkers prior to departure.

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus a processing fee.
  • 30 to 60 days before departure: 50% of the trip cost will be refunded.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu! Your journey begins as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. You will be greeted by a representative from Ghale Treks and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. Spend the evening resting and preparing for your adventure ahead.

Day 2: Kathmandu Trek Preparation & Optional Half-Day City Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to trek preparation, where you can finalize your gear and acquire any last-minute supplies. Alternatively, you can choose to explore Kathmandu’s historical sites, such as the UNESCO-listed Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), or Boudhanath Stupa. Return to your hotel for a briefing on the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (900m)

Depart Kathmandu early morning for a scenic drive to Machha Khola. The journey, approximately 8 hours, will take you through picturesque landscapes and charming villages. Arrive in Machha Khola and check into a local lodge. Enjoy the serene river views in the evening before resting for the night.

Day 4: Trek to Jagat

Embark on your first trekking day, crossing suspension bridges and making your way through lush forests and terraced fields. After about 6-7 hours of walking, you will reach Jagat (1,340m), where you’ll stay in a teahouse. Enjoy the beautiful sunset views and local cuisine.

Day 5: Trek to Lokpa (2240m)

Today’s trek takes approximately 6 hours, leading you deeper into the Tsum Valley. As you ascend, witness stunning mountain views and visit traditional Tibetan villages. Reach Lokpa for an overnight stay, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Day 6: Trek to Chumling (2600m)

After breakfast, trek for around 5-6 hours to Chumling. Along the way, you will cross picturesque landscapes and perhaps spot native wildlife. Upon arrival, settle into a local guesthouse, and enjoy an evening of exploring the vibrant local culture.

Day 7: Trek to Rachen Gompa (3300m)

Gain altitude as you trek approximately 5 hours to Rachen Gompa, a serene monastic village. You’ll have time to visit the monastery and learn about the local traditions and Tibetan Buddhism. Overnight at a local guesthouse near the monastery.

Day 8: Trek to Mu Gompa (3700m)

Today’s trek of about 4-5 hours brings you to Mu Gompa, one of the highest points of your trek. The stunning panoramic views of the mountains are breathtaking. Spend the afternoon exploring the monastery and surrounding areas. Overnight in Mu Gompa.

Day 9: Rest Day in Mu Gompa

A well-deserved rest day allows you to adapt to the altitude. You may choose to engage in a day hike to nearby peaks or immerse yourself in meditation at the monastery. Experience the local culture or simply enjoy the serene surroundings.

Day 10: Trek to Rachen Gompa (2600m) via Chhule (3347m)

Retrace your steps with an exciting trek back to Rachen Gompa via Chhule, lasting about 6-7 hours. Enjoy the scenery and perhaps meet fellow trekkers along the way. Overnight in Rachen Gompa, appreciating the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 11: Trek to Gumba Lungdang (3200m)

On this trekking day, spend about 5-6 hours walking to Gumba Lungdang. You’ll meander through beautiful forests and witness spectacular mountain backdrops. Check into a local guesthouse and relax amidst nature.

Day 12: Trek to Ripchet (2490m)

Today will take you approximately 5 hours to descend to Ripchet. Enjoy the shifting landscapes as you traverse from high altitude back down to the quaint villages. Spend the night in Ripchet, sharing stories with other trekkers.

Day 13: Trek to Philim (1700m)

Walk for around 6 hours today, passing through lush green forests and witnessing local farmers tending to their fields. Arrive in Philim, a village enriched with local culture and hospitality. Overnight in a teahouse.

Day 14: Trek to Khorlabesi (930m)

The trek today spans about 6-7 hours as you descend toward Khorlabesi. Bask in the changing scenery of rural Nepal, “goodbye” the Tsum Valley as you descend valleys and cross rivers. Overnight at a local lodge.

Day 15: Trek to Soti Khola (730m)

On your final trekking day, hike around 4 hours to Soti Khola. Enjoy the lush surroundings and river views. After reaching, relax and reflect on your adventure. Overnight in the local lodge.

Day 16: Drive Back to Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu via a scenic drive lasting about 8 hours. Arrive in the city, check into your hotel, and enjoy a well-deserved rest after your adventure.

Day 17: Half-Day Kathmandu City Sightseeing & Evening Farewell Dinner

Spend your morning exploring additional sights of Kathmandu, such as the Thamel district for last-minute shopping or visiting Patan Durbar Square. In the evening, indulge in a farewell dinner featuring a vibrant cultural show, celebrating your trek with fellow travelers. Overnight in Kathmandu.
