Itinerary

Day 1Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and passport collection for Tibet Visa application

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our airport representative will greet you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. Additionally, we will assist with the collection of your passport for the Tibet visa application. The remainder of the day is set aside for leisure activities, followed by an overnight stay at your accommodation. Please note that meals are not included. Accommodation Details: Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2Guided Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley

After breakfast, our expert tour guide will assist you at your hotel and provide transportation to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. This tour includes visits to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, an important site for Hindu worship; Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa, revered ancient stupas significant to both Buddhist and Hindu followers; and Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historical capital of Nepal known for its cultural and political significance. Day 3 Nagarkot sunrise, sightseeing of Changu Narayan Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Passport distribution

You will receive an early morning wake-up call before embarking on a scenic drive to Nagarkot to witness the breathtaking sunrise over snow-capped mountains, complemented by a packed breakfast. En route, you will enjoy sightseeing at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, renowned for its ancient art and architecture, as well as Changu Narayan Temple, recognized as the oldest temple in Nepal. Day 4Arrival in Lhasa

Upon your arrival at Lhasa Airport or Railway Station, our staff will warmly greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. The journey from Lhasa Airport to downtown Lhasa typically takes around 1.5 hours, while travel from the Railway Station is about 20 minutes. Once settled in, you will have the rest of the day to explore the city at your leisure, but we advise against overexerting yourself as the first day’s rest is important for acclimatizing to the high altitude. Day 5 Lhasa Suburb Highlights: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery

Today, you will explore two significant attractions in the suburbs of Lhasa. In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery, located about 8 km west of central Lhasa, which was once one of the largest monasteries in the world; its name, meaning “rice heap,” reflects the many white monastic buildings that once adorned the hillside. In the afternoon, you’ll head to Sera Monastery, known for the wild roses that bloomed on the surrounding hills when it was built; from Monday to Friday, you can observe the unique monk debates held here. Be prepared for a long day of sightseeing under the intense Tibetan sun, so remember to wear sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. From the golden roofs at the top, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lhasa, including the scenic Lhasa River, lush fields, quaint villages, and the glimmering Jokhang Temple in the distance. In the afternoon, head to Jokhang Temple, the earliest constructed temple during the reign of Sontsan Gambo in the 7th century, renowned for its Buddhist prayer wheels and golden sutra streamers, where you will witness numerous pilgrims in devotion. Day 9Final Departure
